Virtual + In‑Person Allergy Care (Hybrid): Supervised Tablet Starts and Partner Clinics

Introduction

Wyndly’s hybrid model combines nationwide virtual care with in‑person options when clinically necessary. We use board‑certified, physician‑directed sublingual immunotherapy (SLIT) via allergy drops and FDA‑approved tablets, plus an at‑home, CLIA‑certified test for 40+ environmental allergens. We’ll see you online. We’ll see you in the office. No matter what, we’ll always see you as a human who deserves incredible care.

What “Hybrid” Means at Wyndly

  • Virtual by default: Testing, treatment planning, prescriptions, refills, and 24/7 doctor access happen online. Shipments come to your door every 12 weeks.

  • In‑person when indicated: We coordinate local options for first‑dose supervision for SLIT tablets and other specific needs (see below). We maintain an in‑person clinic in Colorado and partner sites nationally.

  • Evidence‑based scope: We treat environmental allergies (pollen, pets, dust mites, mold)—not food allergies. Ages 5+; certain conditions are not eligible (e.g., EoE, MCAS, pregnancy). See: FAQs.

When In‑Person Care Is Required (or Recommended)

  • SLIT tablets (FDA‑approved for select allergens): First dose is started under medical observation; daily dosing continues at home thereafter. We schedule this at our Colorado clinic or a partner site near you. See general SLIT background: UpToDate overview.

  • Choosing allergy shots elsewhere: If you elect shots with a local allergist, be aware each injection requires an in‑office wait due to rare systemic reactions; details: Why shots require a 30‑minute wait.

  • ENT/complex evaluations: If your Wyndly physician identifies reasons an exam is prudent (e.g., recurrent sinus infections, severe nasal obstruction), we help refer locally.

  • Everything else (most care): SLIT drops and follow‑ups continue entirely from home with ongoing physician support.

First‑Dose Supervision: Tablets vs. Drops vs. Shots

  • SLIT tablets: FDA‑approved tablets for specific allergens are initiated under medical supervision, then taken daily at home. See SLIT overview: UpToDate.

  • SLIT drops: Custom multi‑allergen drops are taken at home; typical side effects are mild (oral itch/irritation). See: Immunotherapy and Are Allergy Drops Safe?.

  • Allergy shots: Effective but require recurring clinic visits and observation after each injection; see risks and logistics: Reactions to Shots.

How the Hybrid Process Works

1) Test at home (2–6 business‑day turnaround). Order test. 2) Meet your doctor online to review results and history; choose drops or eligible tablet(s). Schedule. 3) If tablets are selected, we arrange a supervised first dose at our CO clinic or a partner location; otherwise begin drops at home. 4) Receive medicine every 12 weeks; message or meet your doctor anytime for dose adjustments and check‑ins. Safety, Eligibility, and Expectations

  • Ages 5+; environmental allergies only (pollen, pet, dust mite, mold). Not for food allergies. See: FAQs.

  • Common early effects with SLIT drops are mild oral itch or throat irritation that resolve quickly. Are Allergy Drops Safe?

  • Typical timelines: Many notice improvement in 4–24 weeks; full immune retraining takes ~3 years. How Long Until Drops Work?

Pricing and Insurance

  • Transparent membership: $99/month (annual) or $110/month (quarterly) includes unlimited physician support and treatment shipped to you. HSA/FSA accepted. See: Treatment Subscription and Quick Facts.

  • 90‑Day Allergy‑Free Guarantee: If you follow your plan and don’t improve, we’ll refund treatment costs within 90 days. Details: Guarantee.

Why Hybrid Improves Access and Outcomes

  • Fewer trips, faster starts: At‑home diagnostics and SLIT drops eliminate weekly clinic visits; supervised tablet starts are coordinated once, locally.

  • Better safety profile at home with SLIT drops compared to shots, with similar long‑term efficacy per major reviews and practice guidelines. See: Immunotherapy and Allergy Shots vs SLIT.

  • Nationwide continuity: Consistent protocols across virtual and in‑person settings, with 24/7 physician access.
